Reward Stories curator

The things we do for dreams.
There is a particular kind of meeting I have sat through more times than I can count: someone across the table, a spreadsheet between us, and a question that starts out sounding like it is about money, and ends up being about something else entirely: trust, fairness, what the organization actually values.
I have spent two decades working across HR departments, mostly at the intersection of people and processes: reward design, organizational architecture, and the systems that decide, often without anyone noticing, whether a company thrives or just gets by. I stopped treating these as separate disciplines because they never really were: change the pay structure and you change the culture, redesign the organization and you move the business results, whether anyone planned it that way or not.
What keeps me at the table is the same thing that got me there in the first place: I am curious about what comes next, about the exponential trends rewriting how organizations and the people inside them work, and about the stories underneath all of it, because behind every policy and every spreadsheet there is always a story about people, and that is the part worth paying attention to.
